A night with the girls in Hyderabad

Bathukamma is widely celebrated by the Hindu women of Hyderabad and the surrounding Telangana region of India, where elaborate floral displays topped by a pumpkin flower (Bathukamma) are worshipped as the embodiment of the goddess Gauri, the goddess of womanhood. The Batukammas are taken to a lake and set afloat in the evening.
